    Are there any BB 9900 users here from the Philippines?

    Just got my 9900 from a supplier in HK. Reception is very erratic, loosing my signal every 2 minutes, network is Globe Telecom.

    - From 4/5 bars, signal drops every 2 minutes to no signal at all
    - Impossible to make outgoing calls and outgoing SMS
    - Globe cellsite from our residence is within line of sight
    - Downgraded to 7.0.0.61 (Singtel is using this build, which is an affiliate of Globe Telecom), still didn't solve the problem
    - Upgraded to the latest OS leak 7.0.0.353, still to no avail.
    - Inserted my Smart Communications BIS enabled sim, still to no avail

    Please see recorded video and observe signal drop at 1:18...

    You probably suffer from some manufacturing defect. Time to sent it in for an exchange.

    The 3G signal in Manila is patchy. Probably better to keep your network mode to 2G for more consistent signal.

    I agree with the others, sounds like you should replace that device.. there been some defect alert with Mexico made devices.. i would like to ask where is your Blackberry made in? (look on the sticker under the battery) but what you really should do is to get it replaced.

    @rafiks | Inserted 2 sim cards from different networks. Still thesame.

    @blacklighter11 | Yeah, shipped it already. Technician from HK will still check on the unit to determine manufacturing defect and if they are going to replace me with a new unit. Now, still waiting for feedback from them.

    @blackberry-unlocking710 | It's made in Hungary.

    Bad luck eh?

    Appreciate all your replies and inputs, thank you and Godspeed.

    By the way, whats weird was that when I placed my BB 9780 beside the 9900 the for a period of time, the signal on my 9780 started to drop. At first I though I was experiencing something similar to a death grip with the iPhones but now I'm starting to realize that the unit is suffering from a short circuit or something. As you can see the signal drop from the video link I posted from earlier on this thread, signal drop is very abrupt. Would have been the best BlackBerry ever, killer keyboard and very fast processor. Hoping to get a replacement soon.
