i started to download the update bundle the other day but it told me it would take up to 2 hours and couldn't use my phone for anything. eventually i had to cancel it because i was at work and needed my phone. i'm now doing it again and want to know if it really does take this long to fully update? i've been doing it for almost an hour now and it's been stuck at 5% in overall backup progress.

    thanks!

Is there a reason why you can't update the OS using your Computer? It won't take you 2hours, that's for sure..

i have absolutely no idea how to do it and i figured it was easier if i just did it through my phone. i don't think i've ever done an update that has taken this long.

I don't think anyone has done an update that's taken that long lol. If that's the case, maybe try updating the phone using Wi-Fi? I've never performed an OTA update, but I can only guess the reason why it's taken 2+hours is because of your network settings.

However, performing an update through your Desktop is a lot quicker, efficient and you get a lot out of it. (Meaning, you can wipe the phone, install from scratch, shrink the OS)

If you've tried the Wi-fi method, glad I could help If not,

Download the OS on your computer using this link:

You could always update using wifi. My last update took 1&1/2 hours ota using network. Be patient and make sure you have a well charged battery.
