Regardless of the OS you are running, try redownloading your service books... On every BB I've ever owned, this has resolved the majority of my crazy, unexplained issues...

I have a 9900 on Airtel in India and a 9860 on ATT roaming internationally in India. My 9860 is stable but the 9900 would reboot multiple times a day. Both have 7.1 bundle 1646. Looking again on the internet this past weekend led me to a new thread that may have solved this. The problem seems to be due to switching of the phone or carrier between 2G and 3G. So two days ago I changed the Network Mode setting from 3G & 2G to 3G (only). No reboots for the last two days when I have been seeing maybe 10 per day. Keeping my fingers crossed. I may try to go back to 3G & 2G to see if they reappear and I may try to switch the Airtel and ATT SIM cards. Please try and comment.
Mine would randomly reboot also but when i went to options, device, application resource monitor, and then unchecked automatically shutdown background draining application it stopped doing that.
I got a random reboot once when i was on a call. I was talking and then put of nowhere my phone did a reboot. That was the first time that it has happened. No big deal though.
"No big deal" when the phone reboots in the middle of a call? Really?
Nope... in fact I don't think I've ever had a random reboot on any of my berries.
I've always used the photobucket app which automatically places itself in the App Switcher after a reboot, and I have to manually close it... so I'd know if any of my devices had randomly rebooted.
I did once on my 9900. When I was using Vodafone's stock OS for the 9900 and I had been playing the fruit ninja clone on the device, then I exited it and I got a JVM error and a re-boot. other than that I have been all good. I think people experience them less now with 7.1.
I was getting a (not-so) random reboot everytime I set my phone down on any surface with more than a feather touch. I assumed it was my batter door, as I had broken one of the snaps, but it had never hapepned before. It would reboot without hesitation on two seperate replacement devices and after an OS upgrade fail, I received a 3rd replacement device that has no random reboots.. I knew it wasn't my battery door.. Damn Big Red
