Yea no problems here upgraded to it when it was released and no problems so far and I honestly don't imagine any more bricking/nuking 99xxs that are running 7.1.

few problems while backing up (stuck on smart card options)
i took out the battery, connected my device, ran apploader and re-inserted my battery when the dialog box came up asking to retry etc...
installed successfully and runs smooth since then. few minor touch screen issues but all were fixed by battery pulls.

Good to see that there aren't any yes votes so far. I've been holding off getting a 9930 for my mom's line because of the bricking issue. She hates her EVO but at least it never completely died on her. If the trend keeps up, maybe I'll get her a late Christmas present...

I had that happen to my old bold 9000.

What happened was I tried to change radio files of different OS.

You voted yes because of that?

It looks like a corrupt theme file. Wipe and reload the OS.

bricked this morning, or so I thought.

turns out the battery drained, and micro USB would not charge it. I have a BB dock for the 9930 and that was the only charger that would work. Shouldn't there be another selection for this in the poll?

Otherwise I was SOL without the dock

I made the poll for the bricking and nuking problem, but the charging problem is an interesting one as well. This isn't the first time I've heard of someone only being able to charge through the contacts. Yesterday I was charging my phone in the car and I noticed that sometimes the symbol showed the device plugged in but not charging, even though the battery level was down. Eventually it started charging again, but it kept doing the same thing off and on. Hopefully this isn't another issue we'll have to put up with...

Agree. I got a similiar thing after trying the Porsche theme on 7.1. Same screen after reinjecting the stock 7.1 theme files. Did a factory reset with BB Boss and fixed it.

Will this OS work on a blackberry 9900? Currently running on the 7.0.0.585.

Is this an official OS provided by blackberry, RIM itself?

No, this OS is for the 9930 only. It is an official carrier release from Sprint, not a "leak".

I know this is about 9930, but for your information, my Bold 9900 function better with OS 7.1 than all the OS 7.0s I tried so far. I have been using the leaked OS 7.1 since it came out minus a week.

Great phone in every way...not a sign of any problems with OS 7.1. No battery problems - you must use your head as with any cell phone - delete any apps that drain your battery (the Crackberry forums will tell you of the problem apps) and be sure to close apps when you are finished with them - especially ones which use the camera. Blackberry is, and always will be the best. I came back to BB after a fateful HTC EVO 4G sojurn.

Same goes for any device. Most updated OS's should always have a positive affect for you. I always look forward to new OS's because of the fixes or new additions.
