    Hey,

I'm not sure if this is a device specific/OS specific issue, but I'm currently in a room with no Sprint signal (cell or data) so I've turned off the cell radio and turned on Wi-Fi to save battery and keep it from getting hot. All my apps work fine except Google Talk (by RIM). For some reason it says "Data Services Unavailable" even though I know I've got Wi-Fi data.

What's curious is that it works fine on Wi-Fi if I turn on my cell radio (even though it gets no signal). Does anyone know what's going on or if there's a fix? Thanks!

Gtalk will only work with the radio on for some reason but it does work on wifi. I am having issues with gtalk it keeps logging me out and I don't get messages unless I am logged in. I have a tablet and gtalk never logs out on me.

Interesting, but then why does it work when I've got the cell radio on as well as wi-fi (that is, my data services are via wi-fi)?
