In response to a PM i had I thought I would make a thread for the interested people here. If you have a black 9900/30 and wish you had waited for the white? For roughly $20 you can get a white decal and a white oem hard shell and presto - white 9900/30.

Yeah Ive been having problems with the handset speakers on my phone lately too so Id hate to swap out the housing and have to return it for a warranty issue. Does swapping the housing void the warranty?
Cool man! If you like it, it's your own style. I never liked white on my electronics, I prefer the all black stealth look.

it will absolutely void the warranty. The screws on the back under the battery have tamper stickers and such. I'm not sure how it works on the 9930 but my old 9300 has the speakers built into the housing rather than the motherboard so changing the complete housing would work fixing the audio. In your case I'm not sure.
Yeah if so - housing swap isnt viable for me. Id get my @$$ chewed for that by my boss.

I have the black harshell, the white one is nice, but liked the design on the back of the black one better (plus, imo the black hardshell matches the device better).
Personally those decals look pretty bad on the device. Definitely looks like they were stuck on and aren't part of the original device.
yeah i wanted a white bold to but then i got a black one for a really good deal and dont regret it at all
I'm not "trolling" but I wouldn't even touch that even If I was paid too do so, its hideous it like you've tried too paint the front too match the back
Yah, it does kinda look like paint haha.
It also doesn't match well because the keyboard is still black and the buttons next to the trackpad are covered by the white strip.
