I couldn't really give a good analysis of battery life based on my current usage. I can answer that better in the coming days when I am using it like I normally use a Berry.
I'm sure you've been using it heavily since you just got it. But just guessing based on your use today, can you say the phone will comfortably last all day under moderate-heavy usage?

In Canada, only Bell announced they'll be releasing it on the 17th or 18th. I haven't heard boo from Rogers. Damn Rogers!
Was there an official announcement that I missed or are you referring to the leaked slide from a week or two back?

Too hard to judge with my not actually using it a full day. I will create a post on battery life in the coming days since this is a big concern for me as well.

Okay thank you. Only browser I have seen do it is Android. Hopefully just double tap will be enough for my eyes

The tap zoom isn't quite that impressive in terms of size, so if you have vision problems, and you factor in that it's not an all-touch device, you could have trouble.

Unfortunately Europe & Asia don't have the stringent Technical Acceptance standards as carriers here in the states. Sucks I know, but is better for the end user in all honesty.
Isn't the Torch 2 releasing before the 9900 on AT&T because At&T made the torch 2 a higher priority, if At&T really wanted to they probably could have released the device the same time as Europe and Asia, I doubt the OS released on the device in Europe will be diffrent then the OS released on AT&T.

Bro, how do you know that they are correct? Also, is it possible for the 9930 to come out earlier?

I actually can't get a date nailed down from the CDMA carriers. My guess is TMO will be first at this point.

No way, so you're telling me Verizon and all other carries will get a September release? -_-

I would like to see these out tomorrow, but from what I have seen and heard, i doubt any other carrier in the US will be before Aug 31.

That sounds very likely. I think the most recent device we can look at that released between all 4 major US carriers would be the 9300/9330.

    Blackberry 9300/9330

    Officially Announced: 08/05/10

    Bell: 08/13/10
    Vodafone UK: 08/24/10
    T-Mobile: 09/08/10
    Verizon: 9/16/10
    Sprint: 9/26/10
    AT&T: 10/17/10
    US Cellular: 11/2/10

    Notice a pattern?

But that was announced in August. The 9900/9930 were announced in May. -__-
I really hope this is not the case.

I read it from MobileSyrup. They tweeted it twice saying Bell is releasing 4 BlackBerry devices in August. The first tweet said the 9900 was to be released on August 17th or 18th.

The 9300/9330 wasn't RIM's flagship device, like this one probably will be. Plus, my guess is they announced this earlier to get hype going ahead of time and keep buyers from jumping ship to iPhone and Android. Putting the 9300/9330 out there wasn't that big a deal for them at the time. But who actually knows RIM's strategy at this point?

Bell has been aggressively promoting new devices and all their services. That's why they took the #2 spot and knocked Telus to #3. I doubt Bell has exclusive rights to the 9900 in Canada. But they want to be the first to announce any new BlackBerry devices, especially the 9900.
