Just for background, I am located in the US. So I visited Niagara Falls for a few hours about a year ago. Ever since then, when using the My Location function in google maps, the directions will come up in metric. Specific directions such as Pittsburgh to Philadelphia will come up correctly in miles. I have tried resetting google maps, and it will work for exactly one time, then switch to metric. I have tried wiping the OS with BBSAK and reinstalling, changed my blackberry ID, and a security wipe, and the behavior is unchanged. Google maps is really critical for my day to day, and any input on a permanent fix would be appreciated

Have you tried to "Clear Recent History" in your phone's Settings: Location Services? You could also try turning off Location Services.
