I entered a new contact into google contact yesterday morning, but its been a day and my 9900 still not update its contact from google. It used to sync few months ago. Did I do something wrong here?

Are you using Google Sync or just syncing through your gmail e-mail account and BIS?
If it's through your gmail, go into contacts, options, click on your contact list and make sure wireless synchronisation is ticked. If you have more than one contact list merge them and put all your contacts in the gmail one.
