I intend to switch from my iPhone 4s to a bold 9900. I'm so excited !! I just wanted to ask who is completely satisfied with their bold. Did you have any issues as far as build? Was the trackpad centered and risen properly?
I had a bold 9000 that had a problem with heating up really hot and the battery crashing I loved that phone but I wasn't able to buy another one because they were discontinued
I also had a 9700 I loved it but wasnt trilled about how it was completely different build from the 9000
I had an issue where I had to take back 9700 because the light was peaking through the trackpad but after that problem the phone was perfect
The 9900 has been my dream blackbery and I am so excited to buy it!! Just wondering how the build quality has been for everyone else

Thank you for any response. It's so appreciated. I cannot stand my iPhone. It is sooo boring to message and communicate with. I hate typing on glass. In need of my qwerty keyboard Now! Lol

    Yea!!

In my opinion after owning a Iphone 4 and 4s and Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE the bold 9900 is the best device in the world.

Get it you won't regret it!!

I'm completely satisfied with my new BB 9900, it's fast, good signal, my dislike are the durability of the battery, but i understand that I use it too much.

I reccomend you, more than any iPhone(I hate it!)

The better is The QWERTY keyboard (I hate touchscreen keyboards)

    BB9900 has 45 keys,
    Removable battery,
In my suggestion buying a used 9900/9930 will be a good idea.
iPhone 5 is out and playing as most loved child for most, RIM will release BB10 based smartphones in 2013.
Buying new BB 9900/9930 will be a not a wise decision.
    But, your satisfaction matters more.

9900/9930 is a great choice. The build quality on my 9930 is excellent, the best of any BB I've owned.

I came from a Samsung galaxy S and absolutely love my 9900! As a phone it's hard to beat and I haven't missed the larger screen of the Galaxy.

I never really had any issues with faulty hardware with my 9900 or 9360. Build quality was excellent, as your should be as well if bought new from a dealer or carrier store. If not, then you can always exchange it for a working model.

The build is ok but I just recieved my 5th replacement because the 9930/9900 has many issues. So prepare to turn into a blackberry tech/repairman if your gonna get this. Your better off waiting for blackberry 10 because I will bet money that yif you buy a 9930 you will have issues right out the box

You probably just don't use the features that have issues. The same way thousands of people have the media bug BUT I don't, because I don't use the media player. Does that mean I don't have a media problem? No it simply means I haven't used it to notice the issue

This is exactly what I was thinking. Outside of BBM folks I've met via CrackBerry, my brother, my wife and I are the only ones rocking a Bold 9900. iOS inundated here.

Oh and by the way, I've owned just one Bold 9900 device for the last 5 months and have not had a single issue with it. I'm running OS 7.1.0.391 (Rogers) via AT&T.

All my bbm friends left to iPhone and I don't blame them. I'd have an iPhone as well BUT I'm not gonna buy a phone that looks exactly like the ipod. Which I already have. You would think that the iphone 5 would have a different layout BUT Noooooo all apple did was add an extra row of icons. GO APPLE! NOT lol

I've been abusing my 9900 daily for about 7 months now. It's the greatest BB I've ever owned. I'm not sure what the issues the peeps above me are having but my media player works great. The only app to cause me grief is the 'new' weather network app but that's the app NOT the BB. I have dozens of apps and open and close/exit them daily with no issues.
I do agree that if you can hold out for the Bold running BB10 earlier next year, THAT will be the powerhouse handheld device to have. Getting excited thinking about it!

Go ahead and rock the bb9900 if that is your dream phone and cannot wait for BB10. you won't regret it. I have been abusing mine for more than a year already and it still works great with no issues. My daughter loves her BB9900 too. My wife's bb is old and she is qualified for an upgrade already. But she will wait for BB10 before availing her upgrade. She will hopefully give me her BB10 and she can have my BB9900.

But of course, that is another story.

I just recently traded my iPhone 4S 32 gig for a brand new Bold 9930 on Verizon. Do I miss the iPhone? Sure, a few aspects. Am I happy with the Bold 9930? Heck yes. I hated typing something in the text, and it would keep auto correcting my texts. The physical keyboard is taking sometime to get use too, but I dig it. It's alot better feel in my hands. I found the apps on the iPhone irrelevant, besides pandora, but the bold has slacker radio which is about equal enough to it. Other than that, I love my bold 9930. I don't think ill go back to another iphone or droid.
