I have started to use labels and filters in my GMail account, and my Bold 9900 is still pulling everything into the inbox. I have my GMail set to automatically "archive" the messages with the filters so they are never to be in the inbox.

Now even worse is the fact the sync is not working. I read it in the GMail brower on my desktop and they do not get marked read on the BB. Same goes the other way around. I tried removing the GMail account and re-adding it, no luck. So I just did a "Mark all Prior read" so my home screen does not show 123 unread messages. There has to be a way to correct this.

I too have the "mark as read" issue. i've yet to find a fix.

I have noticed the following behaivior:

If I read a message on my BB that has just a label other than inbox (i.e. "Work", but it has been auto-archived), it will disappear from the BB inbox after I read it. If I read a message with a label other that inbox in the GMail web app, the only way to get it out of the BB inbox is to delete it. Very annoying!
