    Hello all,
For anyone who has tried recently to open there camera and have gotten the "Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again" error, I was able to fix it. All I had to do was dissemble my Bold 9900 to the point where I was able to see the camera lens. With either a o-tip or plastic tool, push down on the plastic that surrounds the lens. Do Not touch or poke the lens its self. You'll possibly hear a faint click, or maybe not. Then reassemble the phone and check it out.

I couldn't have enough patience to disassemble my 9900 , so I used a pin and and gently removed the thin plastic on the back of the phone which covered the camera and flash,, then the camera became nekkid , used my pin to push down the plastic around the lens , just like was earlier said , and #problem solved ....u should Take off battery before u do that , just not to drive ur phone crazy .. #smile

hmm ya I had to change the camera module on my 9780 2 or 3 times. sometimes they can work themselves loose and sometimes the module itself can go bad.

I thought the fix was to pull the battery out and put it back in again.
