    If I remember correctly... in the 9650 threads, peeps said to flip nonused sim card over for better battery life... I did it when I got my 9650 from brand new so never did a comparison... do you think that would help in the 9930 battery life issues?

    I don't see why it's necessary to do that. Just go in Mobile Network Options and make sure your Network Technology is set to 1XEV, and it won't even access the SIM card.

    Think that must be Network specific, I don't have that option here in the UK on Vodafone.

    He is talking about a CDMA global device. I would just take the whole sim out since I am not using it.

    Ah.. ok no wonder.. I was thinking of the 9900 GSM phone and wonder how do you actually flip it and still use it...
