    Hi. One of our clients recently changed from Android to the new BB Bold 9900, but we can't seem to get any exchange email to work. I believe the problem lies with the setup requiring OWA address, while our OWA is internal only.

    With Android, all we had to do is put domain, exchange server and username. Is there hope still? Perhaps a thirdparty app?

    done it a million times on the 9930.

    its easier done through the online bis site

    just add the email address as normal, and then it will return to you with extra options, and you select exchange

    then configure as neccessary

    Not if OWA is Intranet only and they're not using a BES. OWA has to either be setup for public access, or you'd have to have a BES in the domain. A private IP can't be seen outside the domain and if their OWA is private, as the OP stated, it will not work. Obviously if they had a BES, they wouldn't need OWA.
