My 6-week old Bold 9930 bricked and I received a replacement from Verizon (a refurb nontheless but that's a topic for a different discussion). I need to return my bricked phone (red LED, reboot loop), but there's still a lot of sensitive data on it. Anybody have any ideas on how to erase what's on there? I basically need to destroy the contents of the flash memory without physically destroying the phone.

Its not going to happen unless you can get the device to connect to your computer. Try using BBSAK and wiping it. But unless you can get the device to function you're not going to be able to wipe it.

As for the info on your phone, it will not be looked at. Once it arrives at it's final destination it will be wiped immediately and the factory software installed.
