    okay guys and girls,

I went the cheap route and took a risk of buying my 9900 from kijiji. One thing i noticed was that when the device booted up..it prompted me to enter a new password. Ive tried to disable having to enter a password but the box is greyed out with mini lock image beside the box.

Im guessing im screwed and its some enterprise enabled BB....but everything else seems to work (BIS - bbm, email, calender syncing etc)

Do i have any other options to disable this password lock? I even upgraded the os from .261 to .540 and its still there.

    Thanks in advance

Did you try wiping the device, and then installing the OS.

Is there an IT policy on the device. Search on "remove IT policy from blackberry." On the run or I would link, sorry.

If anyone cares - method 3 from that site worked for me. Nice and easy.
