Hello everyone,

I just installed Endomondo free 8.6.2 on my BB 9900 and I have a problem.

When I launt it, the contol panel appears and the application is frozen for around 10 minutes . After that is seems to work but the starting is very long.

I already tried to uninstall / re install , remove the battery for 30s , ...

Is somebody ever had this problem ? and solved it ?

Sounds like either a bad upload or poor OS. I would go back to the latest OS and see if that makes a difference. Bet it does.

Thank you for the answer but this is a professional phone and the OS updates are locked.

For information all other applications work well and if it was a OS problem it shouldn't be the case ? Am I right ?

Running Endomondo Pro on my Bold 9900 with OS 7.1.0.569 and have no worries.

Just tried it again indoors, App starts right away and GPS locks onto location in less than 30 seconds.

You mentioned it's a professional phone. Is there an IT policy preventing it from running? Do you have a data plan?

Thanks for the confirmation, the problem seem to be on my phone then ...

I use the OS 7.1.0.342.
I don't think it is due to the IT policy because after 10 minutes it works well. It sounds like there is a timer at the starting, amazing !

For information,

greggebhardt was right, it was due to the OS.
I moved ffrom the 7.1.0.342 to the 7.1.0.523 and now it is ok.

i can't get the GPS to work

i am using OS 7.1.0.569

App searches for signal but never finds a signal whilst being in a strong 3G area

any advice what could be causing this?

You can try refreshing your location by going into location settings before starting Endomondo and once GPS gets your current location start Endomondo . It happened to mine twice and this trick worked.. Good luck.
