Ebola & Blackberries-
I saw a news article earlier about how the CDC response team was using Blackberries. That's not surprising since many government agencies issue them. Plus you don�t want to be carrying a flakey new phone into a hot zone.
I didn�t see which models they were using. They�re probably using 9900 Bolds since they have plenty of them.
They also might not want to keep the phones when their done.
Well that's one way to justify a new phone.

FYI they have an application in the blackberry site that works on a variety of Blackberry phones-
It called - CDC Recent Outbreaks (v1)

I worked some years ago for International Medical Corps in DR Congo and I heard from colleagues that for Haiti earthquake response they had been using BB devices to communicate among the teams!!

I tried the CDC app and its pretty useless.
Its securer, reliable and useless
The last update they poster was a year ago.
Someone must have a better system.
