Downloading Software Update For First Time
Hi all,
Thinking about downloading Telus' software update for the first time using OTASL. Would I have to back everything up first or would it just automatically update if I download. And will my apps, emails, contacts etc all stay or would I have to restore everything? Just wanted an idea of what I should expect after I do it.
These are the Telus instructions:
> OTASL eligible devices
>
> BlackBerry Bold 9900
>
> BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphones that are not running device software version 7.0.0.585 and currently on Bundle 2406 are eligible for the upgrade.
> To confirm your current software version, do the following:
> 1. From the Home screen, click Options.
> 2. Select Device.
> 3. Select About Device Versions.
> 4. The software version and bundle are displayed on the third line.
>
> To install the software update using OTASL, do the following:

> 7. Software Installation begins. When the update is complete, select OK.
