I don't know, but sometimes my phone takes a long time to turn on from sleep when I press the lock button.

    Anyone encountered this?

Could it be that if you try to switch it on when a CPU intensive app is running, it would take a long time to start up again?

Happens to me every once in a while. Kind of annoying.

When I haven't re-booted in a week. Otherwise instaneous for me. Try pulling your battery and deleting/closing any apps you may have.

I guess it's just something I have to get used to on a Blackberry. I can't expect things to be instantaneous all the time after all.

Do you have a case on it? Sounds stupid but I had this problem with the OEM soft shell. I would push the sleep/wake button, and nothing would happen. So then I would mash on it like 50 times then the screen would respond like 20 seconds later.

    Instant here all the time.

I've yet to encounter that one.

Sometimes it happens to me due to the pattern lock application I am using. To be precise: pattern lock would be locking the phone after it has been inactive for the set number of time, and in the same time I would try to wake the phone up. Then it seems not to respond for maybe up to 15 seconds.
