I haven't been keeping track of whether or not they've been fixed. All of the people I know who own the phone have had them bricked at least twice (around last Christmas), but they all moved to iPhone. I was wondering if they have it fixed by now?
Like mss-ca suggests, - had 2 brick that were running Os7. My last replacement seems very stable with 7.1. As long as it stays this way till BB10 drops I'll be happy.
The two instances of bricking reported here are the first ones I've seen in several months. I'd say at the very least it's down to a 'normal' level of malfunctioning hardware not uncommon to any platform. However, considering how few and far between these issues are, when one user encounters it several times on more than one device, you'd have to think it has something to do with software being run on those devices.
The brickin issue has NEVER been resolved, through ANY OS, including 7.1. I am betting they never will either.
You guys may be right because I never had an issues with any issues with this phone. I am now on OS 7.1, but I had no issues while I was on OS 7.0 Telus official.
