    Dear All,

I have a strange problem on my Bold 9900. I gave the phone to my office IT administrator to configure the company's email address and he installed some "Desktop" service books. The email icon also reads "Desktop". Since then, the Internet would not work on GPRS/EDGE (only on WiFi). To double check, I deleted the Desktop service books and Internet worked fine. The problem is I need to receive my official emails on the BB and this is the only way it can be configured.

    Sounds complicated, can anyone help?

    Thanks

    S

You need to speak to your IT administrator. It sounds like they installed an IT Policy restricting the use.

you can ask your IT dept to give you the POP3 or IMAP settings and go to the BIS page of you service provider and configure your work mail yourself and once done you will receive your service book settings automatically. Then ask your internal IT team to insert the internal policy on your device !
