Hey guys, I know this has been mentioned before but I've only found the topic in older threads or what have you.

My 9930 is missing all of my text messages from July 17th and earlier (dating back to around beginning of June)

I understand with the older BBs that if you're low on memory it will start deleting for conservation reasons.

    But this is a 9930!

Not only that I am no where low on memory, I don't have many apps, I'd say 2 or 3

    What gives!?

Is there ANYWAY to recover them? Outside of backups? I have backups but still, now they wont be in sync with the new texts, which sucks... Any help would be appreciated!

from your Message Display and Actions (Main inbox - options - message display and action) - at the very bottom is an option as to how long to retain messages - what is yours currently set at?

Basically do what james.meed1981 says, and set it to never delete messages. It is automatically set to delete every 30 days

My girlfriend has a piece of crap virgin mobile phone and every 10 minutes she's deleting her inbox. And if she doesn't if doesn't allow any texts to be downloaded to phone. We as blackberry users should apreciate being able to save our messages.
