Deadspot
This is not really pertinent to the Bold 9900 but, as I have this phone, hopefully I will get some advice here.
For some reason we have a deadspot within our home and the only place to make good calls and send texts is in my granddaughter's bedroom. This has been the issue since I started using smartphones.
I can assess my router no problem but my network keeps dropping-out. I have told my provider but they have tested the connection and say nothing is amiss.
Can anyone pass some on some help here or point me toward some gizmo that may sort the problem? I live in the UK BTW.
Many thanks for your time

No help then? Come on guys, someone must be able to help?

What network are you on?
If Voda then look into the Access Gateway, or Sure Signal.
If Orange, UMA will probably be activated within a few months.
If the other networks then consider turning off 3g. Handets will try and use a 3g connection even if weak, over a good 2g connection.
Hope this helps

tomo is correct. don't let the 3g full bar deceive you. i could have that showing but get nothing in or out. putting it into 2g solves the problem. walls can be deceiving, and so can signal bars

Thank you guys, I appreciate that.
Oh, how do I turn 3G off?
Thanks again

network and connections - then select.
mine has 2g, 2g and 3g, or 3g.
not lucky to have the flashy h+ or 4g option on mine :(
