    Hi there,

I am wondering if I can share my Data plan on my Bold 9900 and my laptop? Is it possible?

You can. This usually requires an additional monthly fee.

There are also apps that charge a one time fee for tethering that circumvent your carriers tethering plan.

    What carrier are you using?

There is an app called Tether for Blackberry and it can bypass some of the restrictions placed by carriers. Telus and Bell said they will allow wifi hotspot for free once it become available. This will be on OS 7.1 update and will most likely depend on service books push by the service provider (carrier).
