I did some searching for this but didn't come across it, but that still doesn't mean I'm not the last to figure it out I'll preface this by saying this is my first touchscreen device, as I came to the 9930 from a 9650. While messing around with my screen last week I stumbled upon the function of switching between conversations on BBM by swiping left to right or visa versa. I thought Man, this is cool. So I went into my message folder and sure enough, I could switch to each latest email,BBM, Gtalk or text by the same gesture. Whatever I have going into my general message folder, I can scroll through by swiping rather than opening the folder, scrolling down subjects and opening. The swiping goes to the opened message, not the subject. Same with texts. I open one text and start swiping to the right for each text in an opened condition. This is much more convenient if you have several conversations going, just swipe from one conversation to the next and back again. Sorry if this is common knowledge. Didn't mean to waste your time

As I suspected But, no, won"t work with trackpad, only swipe gesture, at least on my 9930. I've tried it several times. Maybe my phone has a bug.

there will be many more to come!
I'm sure most of them will be coming from OS5 directly to BB7.

I noticed that too, and the trackpad swiping is done for it, that feature was in .448 on OS 6, any later release afaik, has it removed.

Yep, appears so. I just tried it with two 9930s here at work and no trackpad swipe to switch between conversations, only swipe gestures on the screen. Well, I may be late to the party but it's still cool!! So much easier and quick to swipe back and forth between conversations. Grrrrrrr! Wish I had known earlier

My 9800 did that on it's own when I was selecting text with the trackpad in a SMS. Hated that. On my 9900 the touchscreen will let me swipe between messages but the trackpad will not. ATT 440 here. Do later OS versions reinstate the trackpad message->message scroll?

I knew this tip since when I was using 9780 I can do such with my trackpad.

I hardly use the feature though

Like Rootbrian stated, trackpad swipe between conversations has been gone since 6.488. 9780 isn't touch and I was specifically referring to screen swipes. But apparently it was fairly common knowledge, as I came to os7 from 5. I definitely find it a very useful feature. Saves a lot of time.

Took me a while to find this little feature, actually thought my phone was bugging out when it first happened. Damn near gave me a heart attack... Ha.
