    Hi All,
I'm wondering if this can be done...
My 9900 is connected to the internet via WIFI. I want to tether my computer to my bold using the usb cable to connect to the internet through the phone's WIFI connection.
I can connect using desktop manager and usb cable but then it uses the carrier (rogers) on the phone to connect.
I don't want to use my data plan.
and if I turn off the carrier(radio), and just have WIFI active, desktop manager will not connect.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

Are you saying that you can tether using a W-fi network with a BlackBerry? I've never tried to tether with a BlackBerry, but I know that Android requires cellular data to tether. Why would tethering with a Wi-Fi network be necessary? If the BlackBerry is within range of a Wi-fi network, and you want to use a USB cable to tether it to another device, then that other device must be in range of the Wi-fi network, as well. Just connect the other device directly to the Wi-fi network.
