Haha yeah I can believe that droid inc batt life has always had terrible reviews!
Hate to admit this but I think I got more battery life when I had my iPhone 4 (sold it to buy the 9930) and I used the browser more on that device.
I'm sure the battery issue will be fixed with a software update but right now I get very mediocre life on the 9930. Average about 8-12 hours and I do not consider myself a heavy user.
Registered to warn anyone about buying this phone if they care bout battery life. Love everything about the phone, but the battery life makes it almost unbearable. 12 hours at most after semi-moderate use. Pathetic.
Finish charging my 9900 last night 8pm and all the way to now, 12am almost, total about 28 hours, I still have 49% left. I am moderate user, two eamil account, about 10-15 phone calls during the day.
I am very happy about the battery life of 9900 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It all depends on what OS you are running.
I found that 296 and 317 are huge battery suckers.
261 is a whole new world of battery performance!
I have both an iPhone 4 and switched from a 9650 to a 9930. I do a lot of emailing and talking over Bluetooth. The first couple of days I was a little concerned about battery life. I've found over the last couple of days that the battery is in fact very good on the 9930. My 9650 battery would be sucke dry by midafternoon with my current usage. Yesterday on my 9930 I talked heavily over Bluetooth on it, sent several emails and BBM's, and did some light web browsing. By 7pm I still had 40% battery left which I thought was very good. For me that is more than enough as I usually pop it it the charging pod when I get home anyway. Compared to the iPhone 4 I think it's about equal, maybe a little bit better.
While it's not by any means outstanding, it will last through the day. With heavy use you aren't going to be able to get more than a day out of it though, so if you don't charge your phone every night you will be in trouble.
What are everyone's thought on 241? It's the official from Sprint. I'm considering trying another, but I'd hate to lose the NFC if I use a Verizon OS.
