This convenient feature works with my old Android and I think it works with the iPhone as well. Does anyone know if it should work on the Bold 9930? Am I just a version/update behind?

It'd be nice to be able to dial directly bt clicking on a phone number from a Google search.

works for me. it may be that the number u click is seperated ie. (123) 456 7890 might not work but 123-4567890 might get picked up...

Works fine... but only if the phone number is correctly hyperlinked on the web page.

As Phill mentioned, it probably has to be hyperlinked properly. As for just clicking on a number as you described, I think that was patented by Apple and was one of the holdups at the US Border for the new HTC phones last month. Customs had to verify that his feature was not on the HTC phones because of a patent infringement case filed and won by Apple.

What website are you trying to dial those numbers from, and are the numbers hyperlinked?

You can just put the cursor on the numbers that won't link and press menu/call.

Did a search for a business on Yelp.com, then clicked on link to business info and tried to initiate a call directly from the page where the phone number is.

What website are you trying to dial those numbers from, and are the numbers hyperlinked?

I don't have that option. I can copy and paste, but no call option under menu.

You can just put the cursor on the numbers that won't link and press menu/call.

If you can't click it and have it call do this:

Highlight the entire number and press your BlackBerry Menu key. There should be a "Call xxx-xxx-xxxx" option in the menu.

Mine works if the website links the number correctly. If it is nothing more than plain text then I have to highlight and do as I mentioned above.

Agree with the above posters. You should be able to copy number if you can't dial from clicking. But on my 9930/7.1.0.355 I've always been able to dial from a webpage

I had this problem with older builds/official builds hybrids have this feature not sure if it's a bug or just something RIM forgot.
