    Cannot validate email account for which I have entered correct password. I have updated the password on this email account in the past and it has worked fine. Also, my two other email accounts on this device (gmail and hotmail) are working fine. I have taken out battery and SIM card and have resent service books for all accounts and the hotmail and gmail accounts have shown that the service books have been sent, but the problem persists and I keep on getting device has encountered problems with the application's server.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    go into ur mailbox >Blackberry button> email account management> service books> press Send Service books. Restart your device. Could also be a carrier problem? maybe they need to reset your network, or whatever they call it.

    I had the same problem when I updated. I went into setup, then deleted my email accounts. Then when I created them again, they validated.

    i got the same problem like you. 2of my mailbox was validated successfully while only 1left always reported to me wrong password where i'm sure the right one! but all these email accounts run well at my bb9900, so.. do not know where's the mistake and what it make sense for validating accounts..

    Maybe if you say what kind for account and where from someone can help. Some email now wants you to add devices you allow to connect thru their web page.
