    Hi everyone - I have a BB Bold 9900 and the only place I can now find the actual phone app mentioned is in Application Management. But can't launch it from anywhere. When people try to ring me I'm not aware and the phone just rings out at their end. Can't make calls either. Has this happened to anyone else? Need to be contactable! Thank you in advance.

    Update: I can't seem to update the OS on the phone's net connection so gonna try to do it in my parents' tomorrow on their wifi. Do people on this forum think, given the problem, the phone can be saved, which would be my preferred option, or is it "kaputt' and should I get it replaced under my insurance? Thank you.

    It is yes. Have taken out battery and put back in several times. My carrier suggested a factory reset and that didn't work either. Tried all sorts of ways to see if I could get round problem, and nope, no way I can make or get calls Thanks for your reply.

    What happens when you press the Green phone on the touch pad to the far left of the track pad? Does the call screen display? Can you call from there and does it go through?

    Hello and welcome to CB !

    I have had the same problem you are experiencing.
    It started to happen a few days after I began using it.
    ( purchased on Ebay )

    By backing up / reloading OS , it solved the problem.
    Have not had any issues since.
