These are the VVM.cod that I was able to extract from the AT&T official .440 software. Thanks PhoneGeek for that.
They are in a zip file, so just unzip and then throw them over to your 9900 with BBSAK or something similar. Haven't put them on mine yet, so I can't vouch if it works (can't see why it wouldn't).
im in the same boat... got an unlocked/unbranded 9900 from RIM when i won #bb7fannight ....been waitin for vvm.... but usually avoided att os's ;-) checked 4x for software on the bb at&t page already...
I never got a chance to put the VVM files on mine (too busy with school), but for what it's worth VVM seems to be working normally for me as of this afternoon. Voicemails come in and I'm notified promptly. New voicemails do not erase the prior one either. This the first time that its worked regularly. Hope it continues!
I don't think anyone has got it to work yet...such a pain in the ***...visual voicemail should just come standard on EVERY phone regardless of the carrier!!!
Hmmm. So I have a mac. Can I install update the OS my phone? I thought I remember researching this a while ago and I cant upgrade without using windows (and my windows xp is too old).
Sorry for the super newbie question, but how would I install it?
