can the bold 9900 get BB10
Hi everyone, first time posting here.
I'm planning on buying a Blackberry bold 9900 sometime over the next weeks.
My question is, when BB10 comes out, will the bold 9900 be able to upgrade to BB10? Or is BB10 only available for phones that RIM releases with it?
Really confused about it and would appreciate a response!
thanks again

No, you cannot get an OS Upgrade to BB10 OS on 9900/9930
It's a very different and unique hardware & software combined
So no, but i wish that was possible but again 9900 isn't that powerful to run that OS at first place.
Re: can the bold 9900 get BB10
BB10 will not run on the 9900 or any other OS7 or before.
Re: can the bold 9900 get BB10
BB10 will be only available for the next generation devices (L Series, N Series, etc...), the current BB Smartphones won't have BB10...
My recommendiation for you is to wait until BB10 comes out (it's just 3-4 months away) or if it's an urgency to have a phone, just buy it... In my case, I'm saving for BB10 since October:)
Re: can the bold 9900 get BB10
Greetings, to make it short:
No, BB10 won't be released for existing Blackberry phones. They don't fit the hardware requirements needed to run BB10.
So if you want BB10, you'll have to wait. As for the 9900, 7.1 development is still going on, there is roughly one new release per month which either improves performance/battery life or adds some features (LED control, ARM). So RIM at least for now has not forgotten the current devices.
Re: can the bold 9900 get BB10
but look a the bright side, from the looks of it, the bb10 bold version looks very similar to the 9900 eh.

If you want to subscribe to Podcasts realize that RIM has dumped it's own native Podcast APP....
...You won't be doing any podcasts on it short of trying your luck with purchasing 3 party Apps.
....Some of which are not supported any longer.
If you don't care about Podcasts, business apps
... or getting large emails and want a phone with a good battery life and excellent typing ability....
...You can't beat the 99xx IMHO!
