The camera function on my 9900 often takes a while to find the current location, is this normal?

Well that depends....are you inside or outside??

Inside it does take a few mins to get a signal but outside mine catches it pretty quickly.

I've only tested it inside so far, I will also try outside. It seems to vary though, at times it didn't take too long when I tried.

I find certain apps that use GPS ("Location Services") will not get a signal when inside. A perfect example is Flixster. Poynt sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. It's a crap shoot. The camera is probably one of these as well. Depends on the structure of your building, wall thickness, visibility outside your windows, etc.

It shouldn't work inside. It is amazing that it does at all. Mine does too but GPS satellite signal is not expected to work indoors. It is a bonus when it does.
