So your saying that farting with the 9900 in your back pocket is causing "bricked" phones??
    Hahaha!!! Hilarious.

FWIW - the 9780 wasn't a software fix (stuttering keyboard). I had it on 2 phones and in both cases, it was the keyboard that I changed to fix the problem.
Well brought hundreds of stuttering sufferers out of the woodwork to claim that it did fix it.

I never bought that, and I never suffered from it either... but it was difficult to deny the evidence.

    I'm just sayin'

Nonsense. If my flatulence hasn't bricked my 9930, then it's certainly built to withstand the most heinous of gas attacks.

My 9930 never "bricked", but I did get the error code and "white screen of death". My phone turned back with no personal data and some messed up apps, but luckily I had my OS backed up and everything was fine. I have been on 7.1 since the release date and I am finally confident enough to back up my phone again since its been buttery smooth during reboots.

I think so, but I am still concerned. Could have sworn that I saw an AT&T poster comment that his phone had bricked recently; however, I'm about ready to take the plunge.
    its possible that was me.

im with AT&T and my phone just bricked about a week ago.

I went to AT&T to get a replacement phone under RIM's warranty. I'll have to send my current (bricked) 9900 back to RIM though
