Hi! I just upgraded from my 9650 because it was constantly freezing for minutes on end-- dropping calls, etc. I had already gotten a new one which was great and then a month later started again. So today got the 9930, which I LOVE. I was so excited! However, now it has frozen twice already today, and I missed two calls when I was right next to phone.
Any ideas? Since I just bought today, I'd go back and swap out, but I imagine same issues. When it froze, once I just turned on and off and the other time I pulled battery.
I haven't downloaded a thing and don't really plan to, and Wifi is off.
I love love love the phone otherwise- keyboard and touch screen-- awesome combo.
Is this just life with a BB?? I am inching closer to the dreaded iPhone. Especially with missed calls.
Do you think it's worth swapping out? I really don't want to deal with going there, resetting up, etc as I don't even know my BB password and it was a big hassle.
I'm a little scared to mess with it. Last time I "upgraded" my 9650 is when all the problems began. Plus I don't even know my blackberry ID password, which is another headache entirely. I thought BB's froze no matter what you do! Ha
I love my 9900, but I aquired an Infuse 4g by Samsung and the larger screen makes browsing much MUCH easier and will probably be using that for a bit while the 9900 workhorse will take a break.
Nooooo! DO NOT download the 402 because it has an IT Policy which is causing issue for some apps. Plus it will create more work for you next time you do an upgrade. To get rid of it, you have to do a factory reset.
DO NOT go for 7.1.0.402. I hate the IT Policy and now I am waiting for the next leak so I can get rid of it by doing a factor rest.
