Since more and more people are getting their hands on this orgasmic machine, was anyone able to know how long it would take to boot up?
I'm wondering if it's any faster than the 9780!
Please do share, if possible!

all test versions haven't had fully finished Os's so boot time won't be accurate

I have heard under 2 mins
1 minute 37 seconds from off to home screen, ready to work.
Boingggggggggggggggggggggg
About the same time as my 9780 then...

It's still OS6 at the base level. Gpu acceleration and new apis are not going to change the boot times.
At 1:37 seconds, that would be faster than my 9780. But I thought it'd be faster than that. I guess we still have to wait and see.
That's a **** of a lot better than the boot times on my old tour.
I recently switched to T-Mobile and picked up a g2x. This phone looks like it may bring me back to blackberry as long as the battery stays strong.

Tour?? That's not even on the same planet :p. My Tour takes an painful 6 mins + for a battery pull/reboot.
But that bootup time for the Bold would be bad***

Battery pulls are seldom needed. It is what happens after the boot up that really matters. Instant response and smooth as butter screen navigation. This is what a faster CPU does for a RIM device. It improves the "experience" and puts a smile on your face!
My Tour just took 12 minutes and 18 seconds to boot up completly. :(
I'm so glad they've used the extra power and liquid graphics to make the phone faster, not prettier. It must be so tempting to put pretty animations in to make the phone look better in adverts (you know, like HTC Sense) but RIM have stuck to their guns with this and made it fast.
Is this still accurate - about 90 seconds for a boot to a usable device?
That's LIGHT years better than the Storm2 - which takes somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 minutes, and usually drains about 10-15% of the battery...
You will very seldom need to reboot your 9900. I have not rebooted mine in weeks and it still has the same memory. This is a thing of the past unless you constantly install and delete software.
That's good news...thank you!
That's amazing!
Have you 'leaned' your phone any, of languages or other stuff???
It is incredibly noticeable to compare it to my old 9700 running OS6 even.
I find that if I'm installing/deleting software, the second reboot things seem to run even quicker. Definitely under 2 minutes compared to almost 15.
Whaaaa? That's nuts.
My 9650 takes average 7-10minutes [Gross]
Any noticeable difference in boot times from the before/after the 'diet' then?
I'm going to make a point of logging the boot times before and after I lean it out, just out of curiosity...but based on these early reports, even 2 minutes to load would be a stupid vast improvement over the Storm2 - can't wait!
boottimes are always good when you just get your phone, the real test is booting after few months of using it and after installing few apps on the phone.. thats when the boot time changes... My 9800 in the beginning used to boot really fast as well but with more usage, more apps, more messages saved on the phone, the boot time slows down...
If you have your messages set to something like Save for 2 months and you delete text messages occasionally (as a lot of people do) then the number doesn't really fluctuate much, so there is no real impact from that.
Apps generally do not change the boot time except for the immediate reboot after an app makes some changes to the system, sometimes that will result in a 1-time increased boot time.
Takes me under 1:30 on .317

As many 9900/9930 owners are experiencing low standby times, one of the suggestions is carrying a spare battery.
What boot up times are owners getting if one had to swap batteries during the day. How long would the phone be offline during a battery swap?
