I have the blackberry bold9900 ..and um buying a new beats solo HD ..just wanna know will it be compatible with my bb ..or not ? I mean will I get it's maximum performance ? or I have to buy another mobile phone ?

by the way ..I also have a 16GB playbook ..is it compatible with the beats ?

I don't have those headphones, but from what I hear they work very well with both the Bold and the PB. If you are set on getting those and don't think they work as well as they would with a different phone the worst case scenario is you get the the other phone.

I wouldn't waste that much money on a headphone and listen to it from 9900.
I found 9900 sound to be a lot inferior to 9700. I don't know why it sounds so much better in 9700. I tried EQ settings, they just help a little but not a whole lot.

That's odd. I found my 9900 to be better with the audio than my 9700. Having said that I still use the 9700 as an mp3 player because of the battery life.

I've used the Beats Tour, Solo and Studio with my Torch and Z10. They work fine although the remote doesn't really work except for the answer button. The remote also seems to cause problems with the Z10 where after unplugging them the phone still thinks it is connected.

I'm not going to get into the debate about Beats sound quality as a whole, but the sound quality was fine, although I found the Solos to have better sound when connected to my iPod than my BlackBerry.
