I had to call 5 different times and finally got a girl who could locate a 9930 with out a camera for me. Should be at my house wednesday and in my hands thursday once I get back from a three day business trip.

And we have had people physically remove the camera from their phone and still couldn't bring it on the premises.

Can anyone confirm there is a non camera version?

Yes - there is a non-camera Bold 9930 - I have one. I was able to order it on the release date through business telesales and received it last week. It works great and is much, much better than the non-camera Bold 9650 I was using.

While I am not able to take a photo, the back is the same as e regular 9930 - except there is no camera or flash, only the word "Bold" across the center of that area. I wish they would have left the flash on the phone, so it could be used like a flashlight.....

I sometimes go places where cameras are not allowed. I have 2 backs for my 9000, one with a camera opening and a back made by blackberry for non camera 9000. I had to sand down the prong in the back on that to accomodate the camera. Don't thunk I can do that with this new phone

That will not work on the new Bold, as the battery door is small and only covers the actual battery, not the entire back as yours does.

Do you think there will be a Bold Touch non-camera version? Like the current Bold....

While I'd love to have a camera phone, my job doesn't allow them onsite.
