Time will tell. I was hoping for the 10th but got conformation today of the 18th.
I know everyone has a source etc. and I can't compromise mine, so file this away and on the 18th we'll see.
Then the next time I get caught up in the release games I'll have a history to point to.
Dude, you've just given people the opportunity to drill you with your statements so might as well have not said anything or just Come out with your sources because you'll never live this down.
It could very well be like the Droid 3 release with an online order 1 week before the store launch. So we could see online by the 11th @ midnight and the 18th in store.

I actually came to this forum today because when I signed on to Amazon (USA) to check on a book order there was an advertisement that Amazon is providing 25% off Verizon activations until Wed 10August. Was wondering if that was perhaps a tie-in to an imminent 9930 release.
I'm of the school, though, it's released when it's released, when it comes to BigRed anyway. They're very good keeping their cards close to their chest, so to speak.
As far as pricing goes, I'm reckoning the Upgrade cost will be whatever VZW charges for their high-end smartphone devices. I haven't a clue what the non-plan price would be; didn't even know one could purchase a BB from VZW without being tied into some plan (1 or 2 year); as with two children simulating a communications network - 2 cans & a string (the "string" being "the plan").
Some time this month (Aug 2011) is all I can find out so far, from the same "reliable" sources as everyone on this forum.
Good huntin'.
Going by Wireless Giant BlackBerry Store leaked roadmap looks like VZW is possible 08/25 launch date. Still happy and hold true that Sprint will be the 1st US carrier out with the Bold 9930 (but what is this $249.99 cr*p???)

Verizon will release on the 18th B2B and most likely B2C.
I just harassed the VZW people at the store for the 10th time and they finally gave me something. Two people said "...by the 18th, you will see it in the store"

whaaatt?????
Let's hope, but that would mean they are getting training on it this week. So far this hasn't occurred so I'm less convinced.
yeah but what if they put it online a week before it hit stores? It could go on sale this thursday online. Give training this week and then have it in stores on the 18th?

I spoke to a Verizon rep today and he said that the was "pretty much" briefed and trained on OS 7 and the new devices. He said the 9930 should be there within a week or two.
Again, this is not only news from this seller, it was been rumored that the 9900/9930 will be released soon anyhow.

Yea, my rep only said they were trained only on the OS 7 and have not and no idea when they would on the new devices - In fact, She hadn't even heard of them and was searching the net to see what she could find on them. The 0S7 will be available on existing devices which is why they got training she stated.
Hope you are right regardless. The 9900/9930 look sweet!
I think the most telling fact that the 9930 will be with Verizon soon is that the Bold has now been taken off of the Verizon Wireless website. That has got to be meaningful with respect to them offering the 9930 shortly.
