5-yr old 9930 got dunked approx 20 seconds in a chlorinated hot tub. Liquid indicators are full red. Phone non-responsive. Looking for solutions, either repair or replacement.

Repair... at this point it's doubtful.

Replacement.... look on ebay and see if you can buy another 5-Year old phone.

Try the bag of rice trick. I think you need to seal the phone in a paper towel to keep the dust out.

Take the back plate and battery out first.

For replacements, if you still want a physical keyboard I prefer the Q10, if you need the track pad there's the Classic.

When I bought my 9900 the sticker was red, since it was under the battery I never pulled the battery to look at it I just tested the phone out at the Electronics place and it has worked great ever csince. I wonder what the heat and chemicals might've done to it though but these are tough devices quality through and through. I would say if you tried it again a few days later and it didn't work then you're in trouble.
