    does it matter how long we charge the bb for the first time since it has a lithium battery because i heard these batterys have no memory

    Gone are the days of battery memory, only NICad and Nimh have that issue.
    A modern lithium ion battery is good for 1000+ charges. Its good practice to fully drain the phone occasionally, but that's what I do, as some people recommend it.

    Some say lithium batteries need a few cycles before they show full performance, but I'm not convinced.

    I got my 9900 out the box with 30% battery and just used it till flat, it lasted about 6hours of non stop use. I then charged it over night and took it to work.
    Had 40% charge after an hour of music, 9hours at work, and then to the pub in the evening. I was rather impressed!
