Am I only crazy?
I have BlackBerry k1, really great device. Broke screen and was using these days bold 9930.. No internet, nothing..now I'm back to my K1 but still missing bold...

Nothing wrong here. I like my 9900 as well. Lots of very nice things about it. It is getting less use these days (in favour of my Q10) simply due to HTML issues...as in most emails don't render properly and neither do many websites.

Crazy is attempting to convince yourself you don't like something you really like. Lol. This is the 9900 forum, after all. Most here have experienced 9900's enchanting charms. You're among friends. We "get it". Lol.

9900 represented THE flagship of BBOS. The evolutionary culmination of years of hands on trial & error enterprise influenced feedback. Experience that Apple & Google never attempted to challenge. Rather than finding better ways of accomplishing BB's mission, Apple & Android simply redefined the mission. For SOME of us, that mission never changed. 9900 design is still as "Goldilocks perfect" for OUR mission as it was 7 yrs ago.

That said, as mentioned above, OS neglect has handicapped it in several critical ways. Which is why I frequently dual carry K1 along with 9900. A strategy that affords the best of both platforms while suffering the weaknesses of neither.

K1's no 9900 but its programmable shortcuts & speed-dials add considerably to its experience. K1 competently handles almost any given web content. BUT, for heavy typing, sms, text editing, spreadsheet editing, etc, etc. Out comes 99. Some missions never change.

Can't wait to try a K2, tho. I'd already have one if VZW would square away. Lol.

I just came recently to get involved with the 99er merely for recreational reasons, i.e. experience the BBOS spirit as long as it will last on. Well, the 9900 turned out to be the one device I always was looking for but did not know. But as it is way behind nowadays standards on html and apps it is my driver on days I do not expect anything serious beyond email, sms and phone calls, maybe BBM. On other days it's the keyone that goes pocket.
