    Yes... I have read them all your post regarding this issue
    Maybe is another problem, maybe is the same... I dont know! But I have a problem with my Bold:
    I can't select anything with my trackpad. Up-down, right-left is working fine.
    I have tried battery pull, upgrading OS, downgrading OS, changing keyboard, reset...
    The only thing left is drop the phone to the ground (seen this advice on several posts).
    Really?!? is no oher way?!?

    Try to open an application with the Enter key on the keyboard.

    If that opens up the app, sounds like a defective trackpad.

    There is also a hardware test on the Device and Status Information screen.

    To start the test, on the Device and Status Information screen type "test" (without the quotations).

    The test is pretty straight forward and it will walk you through it
