Can you explain to me what is the value plan? I am planning to get the phone here shortly but I would like some possible ways that I can save. Thanks.

What everyone does not understand is that extra $100 is nothing when you are saving a good amount of money with the value plans that tmobile has. every other carrier is 30% more when it comes to the blackberry plan.

FWIW, AT&T will likely be handing over some cash to T-Mobile because this merger will, more than likely, not go through.

I just saw the Obama administration filed against the merger. Sucks for AT&T as I know Obama has pull with the chairman of the FCC.

And the value plans truly are better. Ill be paying $79.99 w/free insurance for unlimited everything insteads of $96.46. And I'm not bothered by the 2GB of full speed data since 80% of the time I'm connected to WiFi and that's data that doesn't go towards that 2GB.

Ordered mine from Walmart, I called and they said they're not technically backordered, they just didn't get their shipment for today. They're getting it tonight/tomorrow and they're not sure the number that they're getting it.

Well its not dead yet but now it looks like a 25% chance that it will happen lol

I'm glad to. I left AT&T to go back to T-Mobile last summer. They are just a better network. I've had NO problem with T-Mobile over the years. I've been a customer with them for 8 years consistently (always had a sidekick on a data plan). I had AT&T for my voice needs but had so many problems service wise that when my contract was up, I exited so fast, used the upgrade on my T-Mobile account to get my 9700 and get a full plan with them.

ETA: Holla just got an email from Walmart saying I got carrier approval for my upgrade and my Bold is now "preparing for shipment".

    backordered my arse!

OK so they can appeal...if the deal was gonna go through it would have gone through. This is just a technicality that will soon be history. Gotta love the 49.99 value plan...that is only 10 bucks more than I paid back in the RAZR days and that was WITHOUT internet access and E-Mail access!

I was just at the T-Mobile store. I held the 9900 in my hands. I played with it. I liked it. A lot. I left without one. In the end, it was a beautiful phone, nice size and the touchscreen is great. But, there is no UMA onboard. SO, I've decided to wait for UMA. I figure, by the time that required feature is added, the price will probably come down to $199. Who knows? My phone envy might creep up and I'll end up buying one sooner rather than later. But I just had a feeling that I would have buyer's remorse if I bought it at $299 (plus the cases, upgrade fee, etc).

Just got my 9900 from the local T-Mo store, total when I left was $683 with a screen protector and a simple case. Phone was $599.99 at full price with no discount, ouch. Glad this ended up on a CC that I'm not responsible for!

I just ordered a 9900 from TMO customer service for 375.00 with a 50.00 rebate plus we have a BB voucher for 170 for my att 9800 or 100 for my wife's old att 9700. I'm really not having having second thoughts but really do LOVE my 9800 great size, good battery life and I really like a slide phone but I can't live with EDGE service on it and there's no way we'll go back to att

I am glad that the FCC did this. Unnerving to think that ATT will "improve" ANYTHING. My 9900 is blazing on the TMO network. I don't want those stupid network hogs (iPOS) interfering with my network.

I'll get mine next Wednesday or Thursday according to the woman I just had to go through a 'verification' process with in order to get my phone. Kind of dumb but whatever, beats paying almost $400.

I picked mine up this morning. I signed up for the value plan. The out the door cost with full device tax was $347 and my contract is $49.99 a month plus $15 for 20 months to pay off the phone. I am very happy. I love this thing!

Paid 650, even the associate was like "O.O Wow man you're going to pay 600 for this phone?" And I said yes unfortunately you guys are overpricing it but it's a great phone. He tried to give me a discount but I told him I wouldn't extend my contract for 50 dollar discount. lol
