Love this thinness, but that device looks like it's from 2004. I understand they wanted to go back to the original Bold format, but RIM could've given the thing an updated look. In that picture with the 9700 and the Torch, the Bold Touch looks like the oldest phone.

I think your crazy, that silver bezel alone makes it look like the newest device.

This is what I'm talking about! I hope Verizon gets it and doesn't change it, I like it just the way it is.

i like the black of the 9780 but on the bold touch its not really "silver" its a machined stainless steel piece which should be really sharp and give it that high end iphone look.

I don't care what this thing looks like as long as it performs.

I agree with Chillson1386 on this --- that's the newest looking device. Look at that giant square gold plated keyboard on those droids. Oy vey! This 9900 is looking sheentastic....scratch that.

Hopefully the bezel does not chip like the original Bold did, that was annoying, I personally like the black bezel that the 9780 has as well. If it will chip off easily like the old chrome bezel did on the 9000, might as well just make it black

im not a huge fan of that battery cover. otherwise its a gorgeous device.i still can't make up my mind which device im picking up next. just so many great choices-torch 2, dakota, monza, apollo, and i have yet to see if any android devices on at&t intrigue me.
There will be replacement battery covers, if you choose. I really am liking the looks, many will think that anything that comes out with a keyboard will look dated compared to new flashy all touch phones, but this is still the best functioning form..for me anyways, I cant stand full touch and virtual keyboards!
Is it bad that I don't like the new bold design? I really do prefer the 97XX form factor and design but I might still pick up 9900 because it's definitely going perform concentric circles round the 97XX
I think the outside silver part makes it look similar to the iPhone 4 (not outdated at all)..best looking blackberry to date
I think its outside silver part makes it look like.....the original bold? Not everyone jocks off of Apple. But yes, this is the original look and neither are bad, the 9700 or 9000, but this original look goes from being cute, beautiful, stunning. To a phone that can just beat up your friends phone, BAM BOLD! WOW. They are amazed and scared, can I touch it? Its like having a gun.
Thats what I got when I carried my 9000 around, when I have my 9700 people talk to it like its a lapdog. And girls think its cute.....I can't wait for the BOLD OMEGA!
