    Hi All:

I just got my supposedly "factory unlocked" Bold 9900 from Amazon and got it activated on AT&T network. Everything works well except that I do not get 3G on my phone. It remains ad EDGE. Is there something I need to do to get the 3G on it?

Yes, A&T changed SIM card TWICE and I was told that the device has differen frequency than AT&T network Any help / suggestion?

You are out of luck. You bought a device with the AWS frequency bands used for T-Mobile. You cannot get 3G on AT&T with that device.

An unlocked Rogers, Bell or Telus device uses the same 3G frequency as AT&T.

T-Mobile 3G frequency is used by Wind Mobile, Mobilicity and Cincinnati Bell.

Check the phone's 3G bands (Options > Device > About Device Versions)

    If they're showing as 1, 4 & 8 then you're goosed... you've got a TMO device and will never get 3/4G
