I recently got the new Bold, and I've been noticing a few problems with it:

    - first app I downloaded (a ringtone editor) doesn't display all of the functional buttons within the app that it should.

    - it's often very slow, even when all of the apps are closed down.

    - freezes frequently

    - BBM and other alerts don't make the noise that's in their settings

    - often while in BBM or texting I am not able to scroll up to see earlier messages

    - long (5-10 second) delay from time I press 'unlock' to time the home screen lights up

Any help would be much appreciated!

Did you do a device switch via DM from an older BB?

welcome to the world of blackberry's, they all pretty much do this now.

OS7 is built upon a severely antiquated back-end of j2me.

The only improvement you might see is if you wipe your blackberry clean and do not load too many programs.

We are all hoping Rim releases a much anticipated qnx os platform for its smartphone.

It might be another 6-12 months before qnx os smartphones is released.
