Can anybody with a bold 9900/9930 tell me if they get facebook messenger notifications? I have a BlackBerry Q10 and, as much as I love the layout and features of Nemory Studio's messenger app, notifications won't work on it for me for some reason. I was thinking about picking up a new Bold 9900 and a battery, but if messenger won't work on it there's no point.

At this point there really is no point..... even if some do tell you that an older version works today, that doesn't mean it will tomorrow.


But based on the reviews in BBW... I'd say that no it doesn't work anymore.

First of all forget about the Facebook messenger app on the 9900. It was terrible for me, but others say they like it but God knows why.

I find that if I leave my Facebook browser open, even in the background I do get notifications and it works great, nice and loud too, but on the Facebook app for iOS 7.1 that still works quite well if you don't update it, i don't get notifs unless I have the app on the screen and when you try to put the "Chat" in the background without closing it, it logs out of the chat ONLY, and notifs don't work during that time.

But on the browser I do get full notifs.

I'm using facebook messenger which was downloaded from the App World. I can receive FB notifications without any problems on my phone. Anyway you can test before buying new phone
