Has anyone tried this? I'm only getting 9-10 hours and need a solid 12-13 like my previous Blackberries. I tried the battery saving tips and it got me from 9 up to almost 10 hours only...

I don't know how legitimate the reviews are on the link... Would love to hear from Crackberry users.

Mobile ebay site, but this is the one I bought, only downside is the decoder needs to be used again if you tend to do a battery pull or soft reset. Be sure to keep the spare battery and the decoder with you in case. So far, the battery life is superb and the price is just right.

The 1500mAh I got off of Ebay only needed to be cloned once. Even after soft reboots and battery pulls I've never had to reclone it.

I don't think this is true... I mean the seller even claim that the battery was made in Japan, which means it should be a very high quality battery. But I don't think the battery is real. If anyone who got this item here can verify?

But then again, the seller has a very good rating... hum... My problem is if there is a high capacity battery is out there with the same size, why is it not available through the retail outlets anywhere in the world?

    Purchased this one:

3500mAh Extended Battery + Cover Door Case for BlackBerry Bold 9900 9930 J-M1

a few weeks ago and I am happy with the results. Typical use for me resulted in less than 20% battery by late afternoons. Went 48 hours after first install and still had 30% battery life left.
I don't mind the added size/weight to the device but wish someone made an extended battery case as other BB models had. With Quick Pull so far I have not had to "recode" the battery but after actual battery pulls I have to use the decoder device.
I just ordered this one so I can use the cases I have for my 9930:

GOLD 2430MAH J-M1 HIGH CAPACITY BATTERY + DECODER FOR BLACKBERRY BOLD 9900 9930 | eBay

    I'll report back after receipt

I have the exact same one and sometimes it will last 3 or 4 software resets before it needs recloned.
Wish I could get one that doesn't need recoded every time.

Thank you. They have not said No yet, so maybe there will a yes coming our way.

Actually I am getting used to the Motorola P793 Back-Up Battery barge-tethered to my 9900. The 2012 model is supposed to have rubber bands colored the same as the charging cord. But my main hope is that this does not become a brick, fatter than others.

I bought the 2430MAH J-M1 high capacity battery from Ebay, cost 14.95 (UK).
I cloned it once and have not had to do so again because I use Alt+Caps+Del instead of physically pulling the battery. My impression is that it is marginally better at holding the charge, maybe 5-10% improvement but nothing dramatic. Still, at least I now have a spare!

What do you mean by "Cloned"?

The original battery is used in a small dock to copy the coding to the new battery prior to first use. The small dock comes with the new battery for this purpose.

Ok got my 2430MAH J-M1 battery like 2 hours ago and so far i would say it's about the same as the original Meter Berry is reporting about 5% or 6%/hour.
Will test more throughout the weekend and report back.

I provided the review by "Rach" and uploaded some pics, so one reviewer is legit. I can still report the battery is great. Only cloned it once and still works like a charm!

Also, I ordered another one for my husband's 9930, and it should be here tomorrow. If we have issues, I will report back.

I recommend getting an external charger as the blackberry's own circuitry, since the battery is clones, won't properly charge it.

I bought and tried the 2400Mah battery and I don't see any difference between that one and the stock one and no way is it 24xxMah. Anyway, for 9.99(3500Mah) I got the one from Amazon and am impressed. Works great. It is bigger but photos don't do it justice as far as looks on either of my 99xx phones. On a regular day to day I use the stock battery but on a long trip somewhere I use the 3500.

I wish there was a battery that was physically slightly bigger than the stock battery and was therefore flush with the level of the phone without the battery cover on.

would probably be around 2100 MHa at a guess.

would suit me as you could put the battery in and any case that you use would hold it in position.

    I hope that makes sense

    Would solve all my problems.
